Chord Composition – “He’ll Survive”
Concept: I wanted to experiment with the audio recordings I had collected from my chord analysis from my surroundings and create a composition. I wanted to experiment with repitition and effect with out altering the sound in any way except for volume. Only using Audacity to edit the recordings, I found the creation a tedious as I had over 20 layers of sounds and was difficult to stay organized. However, I was pleased with the result and will experiment with more recordings, analysis, and composition.
Listen: hellsurvive.wav (3.73MB) or hellsurvive_10mb.wav (10.3MB)
The composition consists of an elevator bell, human voices, sounds from an auto mechanic shop, an orchestra warming up, dumbells banging, and other recordings.
